Retirement Concerns on Aging

Are you getting to that point in life where age has become a concern? Read on!!!On March 27, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Health & Aging team and SAGE were recognized by the American Society on Aging (ASA) with a Collaborative Achievement Award for our groundbreaking partnership to improve health equity, social support, and culturally competent care for LGBTQ older adults. Together, we’ve: • Developed and delivered SAGECare™ certification training for senior-serving organizations nationwide • Launched the HRCF’s LGBTQ-Affirming Aging curriculum to educate health-care providers and long-term-care staff • Produced policy briefs and best-practice guides that inform state and federal aging programs • Built a national learning network where aging-service professionals exchange tools, resources and success stories This award celebrates our joint commitment to ensuring that every older person—regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity—can age with dignity, respect and the culturally responsive care they deserve.
