Read on!!! ### David Hage to Present at American Society on Aging Webinar Misericordia University proudly announces that Dr. David Hage, a distinguished faculty member, will be a featured presenter in the upcoming webinar hosted by the American Society on Aging (ASA). Dr. Hage holds extensive credentials, including a Ph.D., MSW, LCSW, ACSW, and C-ASWCM, and serves as an Assistant Professor of Social Work, Gerontology Minor Coordinator, and Director of the Post-Graduate Geriatric Care Management Certificate Program at Misericordia University. ### Webinar Details and Focus The webinar, titled “Team Approaches to High-Quality, Patient-Centered Palliative Care,” is scheduled for Wednesday, December 13, 2023. It will focus on defining palliative care and its holistic, team-based approach to addressing the needs of seriously ill patients. Topics include identifying appropriate applications of palliative care, evaluating multidisciplinary care strategies, and exploring systems-level considerations to enhance quality of life for patients and families. The presentation will also discuss practical resources for advance care planning and serious illness conversations. ### Dr. David Hage’s Expertise Dr. Hage is a highly accomplished gerontologist, educator, and licensed clinical social worker with leadership roles in social work and gerontology at Misericordia University. He is actively involved in educating health professionals and students on topics including geriatric care management, palliative care, and health leadership. Beyond teaching, Dr. Hage contributes to advancing patient care as a member of biomedical ethics and palliative care committees at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
